Materials - We incorporate materials from renewable sources and from manufacturers that minimise hazard, waste & energy use. Our aim is to become Carbon Neutral.
Energy - Energy ratings for plant, machinery & lighting are collated, low energy alternatives are investigated & proposed.
Re-use & Recycle - Timber, flooring, glass, ceilings, partitions etc. are reused or sent to recycling. Metals are sent to recycling. Furniture is recycled by our suppliers.
Environmental - We minimise noise and vibration levels, traffic nuisance, emissions of pollutants & disturbance to the public and local ecosystems. We control our own journey times and visits.
Legal - We comply with current legal requirements.
ISO 14001 Environmental Management System - WATERHOUSE are committed to developing a full Quality Management System to ISO 14001 incorporating BS 8555.
Waste Management Plans - Are undertaken as appropriate.
BREEAM - Is adopted as the benchmark to measure the environmental performance of buildings and is the measure of best practice in environmental design and management.
RICS Ska Rating - WATERHOUSE are conversant with and adapt as appropriate Ska Rating -Good Practice measures for Building & Office Refurbishments.
WRAP – Waste & Resources Action Programme- WATERHOUSE have adopted the principles of WRAP , Designing out Waste in Buildings and the Halving Waste to Landfill initiative.
